Practical Course Information
Do I need to bring a Laptop for the class or exam?
There are no PC-related requirements for this course although wireless Internet access and CDs with select HISP materials will be provided for your convenience.
What is the typical class size?
Our HISP classes normally have between 8 and 12 attendees.
When does the class starts and end each day?
The class times for the Monday through Thursday typically start around 8:30 a.m. in the morning and finish between 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the afternoon. The Friday session also starts around 8:30 a.m. but is normally finished between 3:00–4:00 p.m., depending upon when the 2-hour certification exam is started after lunch.
Is lunch provided?
Yes, lunch is included in the price of the course. We typically take lunch between 11:30 and 12:00 each day. Please send us an email to training@e-contego.com if you have any special dietary requirements. Morning and afternoon break include coffee and cookies.
Is Internet access available so I occasionally can check my email?
The training locations will have Wireless Internet access available in our classroom, but we do ask that attendees keep their Internet and email activity confined to the breaks.
When is the last chance to register for a HISP class?
Typically, we will make a determination on having or canceling a class about two weeks before the scheduled start date. If we have six or more registrations by that timeframe, we will hold the class and keep registration open for any last-minute registrations. If we do not have six registrations by two weeks out, we probably will cancel the class, post a cancellation notice on our web site, and notify anyone that has registered for the class.
